Our mission is to provide intentional, nature-based play experiences that support social skills, emotional regulation, and confidence. By blending behavioral science with the power of child-led play and nature-based learning, we create space for children to thrive, sprout & connect.
Childhood was never meant to be rushed or confined indoors—it’s meant to be experienced through movement, curiosity, and connection with the natural world. At Sprout & Connect, we intentionally create an environment that brings children back to that foundation, where outdoor play supports physical development, emotional regulation, social connection, and a deeper sense of confidence and independence.
Each class is held at various locations within Duke Island Park in Bridgewater, NJ. All designed to include a nature themed activity to gently prompt engagement and spark curiosity. We offer year-round, outdoor caregiver-and-me classes for children ages 0–7 years old. Thoughtfully guided through a developmental, science-informed lens while still leaving room for curiosity, creativity, and child-led exploration.
I’m Amanda—a mom of two, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), and a firm believer in the power of the outdoors. With a master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis and over a decade of experience supporting children of all abilities, I’ve seen firsthand that meaningful growth happens when children are given the right balance of guidance and freedom to explore.
Sprout & Connect was born from both my professional background and my experience as a parent. I watched my own children flourish when we slowed down and prioritized time outside—becoming more confident, more regulated, and more connected to the world around them. In longing for the kind of 90s-inspired childhood filled with imagination, movement, and unstructured outdoor play, I felt called to create that kind of space for other families in Somerset County too.
